Principal's Message
Dear School One Parents,

I am honored to welcome you back to what we anticipate to be a great school year at School One. I hope you have had an enjoyable summer and are ready to partner with teachers to assure your children have an amazing 2018-19 school year! As the first day of school quickly approaches, we anticipate a school year filled with learning and exploration! As always, School One teachers and staff eagerly await the arrival of the students and are prepared to provide them with challenging, rigorous instruction. Children will continue to learn in a safe, nurturing environment, as they “Learn with a Growth Mindset”, learning from mistakes and trying again.

Through the use of innovative technology and a challenging curriculum, we will continue to assist students in developing skills required to graduate with college and career ready skills, necessary to compete in the larger global economy. Our Journeys English Language Arts series, Empowering Writers series, new math program, Go Math, exciting S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics) lessons, and third grade S.T.E.M. program, we will continue to provide opportunities for EVERY student to be challenged through enriched instruction, digital experiences and engaging classroom lessons.

School One teachers are prepared to challenge students across the content areas, assessing students regularly and using student data to determine the best instruction for every child. RTI (Response to Intervention) will occur daily in kindergarten through third grades, providing instruction tailored to challenge both struggling and advanced learners.

The School One HSA (Home and School Assoc.) continues to plan exciting fundraisers and activities for the upcoming school year, to include Trunk or Treat, Dine-Out Nights, Muffins with Mom/Donuts with Dad, Grandparents Day, Book fairs, Parent workshops, the Holiday Shop, Reading Pajama Parties, Literacy BINGO nights and much more!!
